Dajulyn Wallace
has always known that
singing would be a huge part of her life. From singing
and leading songs in the Sunbeam Choir at the age of
four to inspiring audiences in pageants and school
events, music has been a way for Dajulyn to express
herself. Dajulyn Chanel Wallace; named after David
(father), Julia, (grandmother), and Lynda, (mother), was
born September 15, 1996 in Orangeburg, SC. Her family
relocated to Lake Wylie, South Carolina (near Charlotte,
North Carolina) in 2006. The oldest of her two sisters;
Chelsey and Zarria, Dajulyn is an ambitious and active
pre-teen. When she is not singing, she enjoys acting,
choreographing songs for her church’s praise dance team,
playing soccer, and reading. While she enjoys all types
of music, Dajulyn is a big fan of gospel/spiritual music
because it is uplifting and inspiring. Her goal is to
sing music that is a positive influence for everyone,
especially young people. Equally as important to Dajulyn
is her commitment to her education and to serving
others. Now entering 6th grade, Dajulyn has been an A/B
Honor Roll student since 1st grade and received the
Governor Citizenship Award in 4th grade for being an
outstanding student and individual, an honor given to a
select few in her school. Evidence of Dajulyn’s passion
for service to others can be found in her sole decision
this past school year to collect soda tops to give to
her local fire department in an effort to help burned
children. She made a large contribution because of her
persistence. While many teen artists have influenced
Dajulyn, she understands that there is also a place for
her dreams, and she is excited to be pursuing them.
Dajulyn Wallace is definitely a teen to watch!
